My dear friend Heather over at Singing With My Heart is doing something incredible for the month of October!  As you may know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  It is also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Heather decided she wanted to help raise much needed funds for these causes, so she came up with a brilliant idea!  Here is what she is doing:

For every comment I receive in my blog, starting tonight, and all through the month of October, on any entry, I will donate .25, up to $250. For every person that writes a post about this, and links to it? Another .25 thrown into the pot. If you tweet this? .5 added. At the end of the month, I will tally the comments, the entries, and the tweets, and I will split the money in half and donate to each of the two charities that I have chosen. The person who comments in my blog the most, out of the entire month, will get a $25 gift card to Amazon.com.

Please head over to Heather’s blog and contribute a comment. Not only will you be helping to raise money for two important causes, you’ll find some great reading!

Did you ever feel like just giving up?

The expectations (from others as well as yourself), the hectic pace to do it all (and do it well) just leaves you mentally and physically exhausted all the time.

You see no way out.

Unless you are willing to admit defeat and let it all go.  Or at least let parts go.

Is dealing with failure better than pushing yourself beyond your endurance (just waiting for the proverbial shit to hit the fan–big time)?

I wish I knew…

Friday Fragments

Friday Fragments is brought to us by Mrs. 4444 at Half-Past Kissin’ Time. Go say hello and check out the other Friday Fragments participants!

  • It’s been another wild and crazy week, as I continue to try to get into a routine with school and work.  I’m pretty much tired all the time.  But, so far, I am keeping up.
  • Tim was a lifesaver last weekend when he instructed me I was to only focus on homework, and leave all the household stuff to him.  He cooked, cleaned, did laundry, and offered his support.  I am blessed!   Thanks to Tim’s ‘intervention’, I was able to get all of my homework done, and even get a little bit ahead!  Thank you, Honey!  XO’s!
  • I still like my classes, but am a bit worried about statistics.  Sometimes I just feel like I’m in over my head.  Hopefully, as time goes on, I’ll actually start to get it!
  • My government class meets twice a week, but, I really don’t see the point.  We do all of our work online and meet in class for discussions.  (This is not an online class.)  Again, I just don’t get it.
  • My ex had our almost 14-year-old dog put down last night.  I know Cody was in failing health, but have no details about why the ex chose to do it now.  I’m sad I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye, and I hope that Cody is at peace.
  • Cody

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
