The Ribbon Retreat Blog is the place to go for all of your fabric and ribbon needs. They also offer various other crafting supplies. Even more, this site is chock-full of great ideas and tutorials, with lots of photos to guide you through creating your hand-made masterpieces!

Other than replacing a button, I know next to nothing about sewing. Since discovering The Ribbon Retreat Blog, however, I seriously wish I did! They have so many cool project tutorials, and they are explain each one so well, that I think even I could make a lot of these things!

Here’s one terrific example, a circle skirt tutorial. Isn’t it adorable? I think this skirt would look great on little ones, teens, and even adults. Of course, you could always give it a totally different look by using various fabrics and more–or less–tulle to vary the puffiness. The circle skirt pattern seems super easy to follow, perhaps even simple enough for people like me, who have only the basic sewing skills.

Looking around the site really makes me wish that my daughter was little again (I can see her cringing!). They show you how to make the cutest headbands, hair clips, pom-poms, flowers, bows, etc. Oh, the fun I could have had if I had access to this information about fifteen years ago! And the money I would have saved by making them myself! (Having a girl after having three boys, you know I went a bit crazy with the girlie stuff!)

I’ve also been inspired by their for the home crafting projects. There are tutorials for a really nice nautical wreath, pretty potholders, and a button picture frame (which, say it with me, is as cute as a button!). I think my crafty side is about to be revived!

Recently, I became aware of a website that makes shopping for back to school supplies super easy! EZ School Supplies offers a wide range of quality items–and they’re delivered right to your door!

Oh how I wish this website was around when all four of my kids were in school! Some years, the four of them would be spread out over three different schools, with multiple teachers and a variety of required materials. Driving from store to store to store, trying to find everything was like a full-time job!

If your school is registered with EZ School Supplies, they will receive a 10% donation when you shop! Teachers can also publish their own supply lists, so that you can simply log in, and order what your child needs.

As an additional perk for my readers, EZ School Supplies is offering a 10% discount when you use this promo code: EZMB065.

The folks at EZ School Supplies sent me a sampling of their items so that I could see the quality for myself. I was quite impressed! The prices are reasonable, and, really, when you add in the convenience factor, how can you go wrong? Go check ‘em out, and tell them Real World Mom sent ya!
