Not a Damn Thing

No word on the interview I had last Friday.  But, I really didn’t expect to hear anything until the end of the week anyway.  Still, it would be nice to get a call with a job offer today!

Also, the STBX (soon-to-be-ex) has not responded to my counter-offer in regard to his latest joke attempt at a settlement.  That was six days ago.  I expected him to come back with something much quicker this time because I thought there was only one point he’d choke on (the $ issue).  Maybe I was wrong…  Stubborn man!

It’s difficult pretending to be patient with this (ie:  not calling him and asking WTF his problem is!).  But, I figure if he knows how anxious I am to be divorced from his sorry ass him, he’ll become even greedier (if that’s possible!).

So, I continue to wait…and hope…

I saw this on Sexy Housewife’s blog (check it out!), and thought I’d give it a try.

Looks like I missed my calling!

You Should Be a Doctor

You are practical, sharp, and very intuitive.
Optimistic and energetic, you are a problem solver who doesn’t get discouraged easily.
You are also quite compassionate and caring. You make people feel hopeful.
You’re highly adaptable and capable. You do well with almost any curve ball life throws at you.
You do best when you:- Are always learning new subjects
- Use your knowledge to solve problems

You would also be a good therapist or detective.

Quick Interview Update

Ya know how sometimes you come away with a feeling about how an interview went? You’re sure you’re gonna get a call offering you the job–or, you’re sure you freakin’ blew it? Well, I’m somewhere in the middle… There was really nothing said that gave me a clue one way or the other. Guess I just have to wait till they’re finished interviewing (sometime next week) and see what happens…

The ‘Big Day’

Well, tomorrow (Friday) is ‘interview day’. I’m a nervous wreck!

I’ve got (most of ) my outfit picked out and copies of my resume ready to go. Now I just have to hope my brain–and mouth–don’t fail me!

It’s for a retail company, possibly a management position, and I’m not particularly thrilled about continuing down the retail road. However, I’ve been out of work since September 28 of last year, so I’m not in a position to turn anything down. But, as I said in my last interview post, finding/getting a job is almost always easier when you don’t really need it, so if I end up with one I don’t love, I can always keep looking!

Interview

I finally have a job interview lined up! It’s not until Friday, and I’m already coming down with a case of the nerves!

What am I going to wear? What am I going to say? Will I make the right impression? Does my resume look good enough? Will they offer me the job? Will the money be reasonable?

It’s also a little frustrating considering the number interviews I’ve been engaged in–both as the interviewee as well as the interviewer–that I’d still get so nervous! Also kind of silly in a way!

Then again, it’s sooo much easier when you don’t really need the job you’re interviewing for–and that’s certainly not the case at this point!

I’ll keep everyone posted on how I’m doing and how it goes on Friday!
