Some of you may be surprised to know that I have tattoos. In fact, I have three. And I want another one (at least).
First tattoo–right ankle. See the “S” in the center?

Second tattoo–left shoulder. I love the sun, sand, and ocean.

Third tattoo–left chest. Got this one after separating from my ex (the first time), to signify my new life. It was also the only one I went to get all by myself!

I was 30-something when I got my first tattoo. One reason I decided to go for it was because I’m the kind of person that no one expects to have a tattoo. I still enjoy the surprised look on people’s faces when they find out I have one (or three). But, I also chose each location carefully. They are only visible when I want them to be. Each one is unique, and each one expresses something about me.
I’m wondering… How many of you have tattoo(s), or want one?

I have one on my left shoulder blade of a fairy sitting on a moon. I got it when I was 17. I have my next one picked out but I haven’t had a chance to get it done yet.

Your ink is awesome. I love that each one is in a special spot that signifies something important.
Me on the other hand, have one tattoo that means nothing. I got it when I was 18 because my biker boyfriend/high school sweetheart practically begged me to tattoo his name somewhere on my body. I REFUSED!
BUT. I did get this rather large, kinda coolish one on my lower back. I went to some Hells Angels house – a daunting experience. Thankfully, I can’t see it, but Col seems to enjoy it, lol. Anyway, it hurt like a SOB and I swore I’d never get another.
BUT. There is a loooong story behind the reason I want to get the tiniest 11:11 tattooed on the back of my neck someday soon. If you google 11:11, you’ll see why. I see 11:11, 12:12, 1:11, 2:22 all of the time on the clock and it supposedly means I’m a spiritual lightworker or something. I don’t know if I really believe it, but I’d love to get it someday.

I love your tattoos. I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I keep thinking 40 is too old to start something like that. Will it be all wrinkly in a few years? LOL… I was thinking of doing an Indian Ink one to see if I wanted to do a long-term commitment.

I have two– One on my left foot that means “music” in japanese with music notes surrounding it, and one on the small of my back that is a butterfly with vibrant colors. I really really REALLY want a teal colored teeeeny tiny heart on the inside of my wrist. The amount that I pay for it, will be donated to the Joyful Heart Foundation. I think I will get it when I finally feel like I have reached that ultimate point of healing & forgiveness in my life

Oops. Posted that comment in the wrong place, sorry. It’s for today’s post. As for the tattoos, I’m not a tattoo person (for me), but I really like the one on your shoulder!

I am curious to find out what blog system you have been using? I’m experiencing some minor security issues with my latest website and I’d like to find something more safe. Do you have any suggestions?
